Biography Cody Rowe is an Austin, Tx based Americana/Texas Country act with multi-textured songs about women, whisky, and life in general incorporating driving guitars, fiddle, and Cody's unique voice. Cody Rowe was born in Dallas, Tx. on March 1st, 1980. He moved to Fredericksburg, Tx. in 2003 and began songwriting and singing at local dance halls and bars. In search of a music career, Cody relocated to The Live Music Capitol of the World, Austin, Tx. in 2009. Living out of the trunk of his car and frequenting the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, he met singer/songwriter Rod Williams and Rod’s Executive Producer, Eric Anonsen. After hearing Cody get up and sing some of his songs, Eric approached him and offered to do a CD for him. The guys teamed up with Multi-Grammy Award winner Randy Miller and Paul Soroski to produce and engineer the CD at Paul's Walrus Studios in Austin, Tx. They brought in Gary Herman (bass) and Artie Passons (steel guitar and background vocals) from the Kevin Fowler Band, Brendan Anthony (fiddle, mandolin) from the Pat Green Band, Alex Geismar (drums) of the band Vallejo, Ken Reynolds on guitars, and assorted other members of the Texas music family. Randy Miller contacted a couple of very successful songwriters he knows, Tim Nichols and Troy McConnell, and solicited a couple of songs from each to work with in addition to Cody's own songs. With this all-star cast, the team has produced a highly entertaining, multi-textured CD combining Texas Country and Americana into such tracks as Walking on By, Texas State of Mind, Half A Heart, Little White Lies, Hard On The Whisky, Caveman, and even found room to make a honky-tonk cover of Jerry Jeff Walker and Chris Wall's song Trashy Women. All this effort came to fruition as Cody’s first CD, Texas State of Mind. |

Hey Cory, I’m not sure if you remember me? I saw and heard you playing at Jasper’s and we talked for a while. I was sitting with Max and Preston. You know them. We play your CD at the shop so much I have memorized all the songs completely. Being in the music business myself I can honestly say that I think you’re one of the best natural singer, musician and songwriters I have ever heard. You have a quality about you as a performer that is so unique. Your voice and sound are second to none and your music is so real that it touches the heart and soul. Keep up the great work Cory and I hope we see and hear again you soon. Becca L

“Walking on By” is in the Top 80. That is so great but I’m not surprised. It’s a really great song. Cory has a lovely vocal feel with his warm and pitch perfect sound. He's just such a blessing to country music. “I have loved all his music from the very beginning. The CD is wonderful and has gotten great reviews. It’s a perfect mix of great sound, creativity, and total satisfaction. Cory definitely puts his heart into his performances.” He is quite simply one of the nicest people in the music business and he treats his fans so well. If I could I would go all his shows every night. I really love his music. Teri – Austin, TX

Cory is a very talented guy. He’s very friendly, polite and professional. I am a musician too and I totally dig his music. He is one of the best vocalists I have heard in a long time. I am very impressed. I love the passion he has for music and his devotion to his art. His live performance's rock and keep you wanting more. His voice will really take your breath away and he is capable of achieving anything he sets out to do.” The talents and gifts of Cory are obvious, as well as numerous. He is truly an amazing artist.
